My name is Tibor Leiter. I am a photographer.

How did I start photographing?

In 2019, during a mountain hike in Germany, at Kramerspitze in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, my photography story began. There were special, very beautiful clouds in the valley, and as I walked above them at 1985 meters altitude, I thought of taking a few photos with my phone.

I felt that the pictures turned out well, and I had to show them to my family and friends. I tried to describe how beautiful and interesting the place I visited was and showed them the photos, but they did not convey what I saw, so they could not experience what I did. The snapshot taken with my phone did not capture it; the photo did not achieve its goal.

I decided to buy a camera, which I took with me everywhere.
I thought that having a good quality camera meant you could already take good photos, but I was very wrong. I uploaded the finished photos to various photography groups and waited for reactions. I received a series of criticisms, which came as a cold shower because I thought I was critical enough of myself and had taken good pictures since I presented them after careful selection.

The criticisms inspired me to watch countless tutorial videos on the internet and improve, "shooting" photos. I adopted many useful practices and tips and wanted to prove (especially to the critical eyes) that I could continuously improve and take better and better photos.

And the self-education, practice, learning, and my curiosity brought the expected recognition from those I look up to, which further motivated me to "learn, photograph, learn, photograph" and meanwhile try to figure out what makes a photo work.
Through a lot of practice, I learned post-processing and found my own style. My hobby and passion led to more and more people recognizing my photos, "Tibor Leiter's" work. I became visible behind the camera, which required a lot of time, learning, practice, and perseverance. I continually expand my knowledge and equipment.

The starting point was my immense curiosity and love for nature, especially dawns, when people are still sleeping, but the wildlife is already awake, hunting, feeding, living their lives. Therefore, I primarily photograph wildlife, landscapes, nature, the Milky Way, and star trails. I also like to capture nature in macro settings so that people can see the wonderful small details from my perspective, through my own lens, my own eyes. They can see everything that happens in a fraction of a second so that I can convey the magic of the moment. As a hobbyist photographer of moments, I want to not only look but see many more things!
